The problem with drawing myself is that it was always so obvious because my eyes had to focus on my mirror image as this drawing clearly shows. I finally figured out how to get past that by setting up multiple mirrors, so when I drew myself, I drew from the mirror image that wasn't looking back at me.

Left: You've seen this pic from my home page. My sister hates it, says I look like a boy and that it looks nothing like me. Maybe so, but it is one of my favorite self-portraits because I like the "brush strokes" I did with the pastels, and somehow it captured at the time the way I felt.

This is sort of the story of my life when I first went back to college. I was taking art classes while putting in sixty hours a week doing desktop publishing, so life was pretty hectic.
